After 50mm, 28mm is my favorite focal length. When Nikon introduced the first 28 a few months ago I knew I would have to get one. The lens they have made is light, sharp, and very similar to my long time favorite 28mm 2.8 for my Olympus OM2n. I have always liked a 50 as it seems to me the best general lens for the way I view scenes. But if I know I am going to do walk around landscape or street scenes I like a 28.

Adding this lens to a Z7, Z6, or Z5 and you have a very light but powerful camera. With this little weight added to those camera bodies and you have only 29 oz total. And if you put it on a Nikon Z50 or Zfc you are talking about just over 20oz. I have a black 28mm 2.8, but if you buy the Zfc crop sensor body you could go for the silver lens to have a more retro look.

I also like the fact that the 28mm lens is always ready to go. Some Nikon Z lenses have to be rotated a bit to be ready to shoot, not this 28 prime lens.

I just got this lens so sorry for not having more variety of subjects. I plan to put this on my Z50 soon and do some shooting with that setup. This lens is under $300 at this time new from Nikon or other retailers. Get one for you next travel adventure. And it takes 52mm filters as many of the older Nikon DSLR lenses used.
