Our ship docked in Ensenada harbor

Overnight our ship traveled to Ensenada Mexico and we disembarked for a Mexican food cooking class and ride into the countryside.

Here is the first enchilada I have ever made. Chicken with toppings of guacamole, lettuce, tomato, and some white sauce. It tasted quite good.

The ride in a fairly dilapidated small bus/van was rough. Part due to the bus and part to the rough streets in this area. It was maybe 30 minutes outside of town.

Part of most of the shore excursions I went on during this cruise included lots of opportunities to buy things. I think in this part of the World that this is just standard and helps out the income of the tour guides.

After that we made some tacos, guacamole, and mild hot sauce. And then drove back to town where we given the opportunity to taste some Tequila and Mescal. Susan and I passed on both of those and walked around town. The town of Ensenada is still a bit ramshackle as it was 40 years ago. Lots of vendors everywhere, lots of souvenir shops selling pretty cheap things you might want to take home. There was a fairly nice park at the harbor front with more vendors and some fountains of water that erupted 20-40 foot into the air.

Then we took a stroll towards the ship where we met up with our friends and later had a good dinner. The photos in this post and others in this post are taken with a Nikon Z50 plus either a 16-50mm or 50-250mm Nikon lens and also an Apple iPhone 16 pro max.
